The Flyer 18 May 2008

Went to The flyer. Though it would be romantic and nice and quiet. Instead sit inside with a bunch of kids. Damn, I pay $29.50 to suffer for around 35 mins. I have never felt so tortured before. Makes me began to hate kids. Can't shout at them also. Parents may kill me and throw me out of the capsule. Lesson learnt, if have kids, enter another capsule.

Siloso Beach Resort

Went to Siliso beach resort before I went to Japan. It stated that have sea view. When see outside it was just plants and trees. And they havent totally renovate finished. Therefore, looks like we are in jungle renovated place. But still it was great. Went to Cafe Del Mar but just walk around. We went to Shangri La for a swim at the pool. It was great and relaxing. This pool at Siliso beach was nice also, have jacuzzi. As long as there are jacuzzi, I am easily satisfied. Went to ride the ludge, I wanted to try it out for a long time, finally got a chance. The view was great. Can see the whole view from the top. It was just like I am on top of the world.

Hokkaido Holiday

3 pieces of paper, 10 000 yen cost me SGD400 plus . Felt that it is not enough. Seems like very poor thing.
I went to japan for one week from 29 April till 5 May 2007. Oh travelling were so long, 7 hrs flight and then still have to wait at chitose airport for 3 hrs for transit flight. Total travelling was around 12 hrs. So tired, blur blur like zombie. For the one whole week, I was like zombie.
Didnt think of anything. See any food sample i just eat and eat. Japanese are generous for food tasting sample. Especially chocolate. You would think those chocolate must be cheap stuff but it was not. all are nice and good.
DAY 1 & Day 2
Day 1 was on the plane, Dep at around 11pm. 2nd day, reach the chitose airport around 11am. We visited the salmon aquarium in chitose, one of the only few freshwater fish aquariums left in the world. Here in its underground observation room , you can view thousands of salmon in the Chiotse River swimming towards their bredding ground. However we didnt get to see it. We get to see the salmons in the big fish tank. Went to Otaru music box musuem. What i like was that they have sushi being made as musical box. There are alot of different kind of music box.We got a free procelain cup for free. Mt Moiwa view was just awesome, even though the temperature was around 2-4 degree, but still it was so breathtaking that we just stand there and see the view for around 1/2 an hour.
DAY 3
White chocolate factory was great, we view the process of chocolate making. It was very systematic। The chocolate was delicious. I like the white one more then the black chocolate even though i like dark chocolate more. It taste like a little bit like cheese but yummy. Hokkaido Jingu, one of the Japan's largest shrine was a nice place to go. I pray for good health and good love life. Hope it will be true. Saw some sakura there, but looks pathetic as it has just blossom. Was happy as the first day we went there are only branches.
3rd day in hotel, I didnt try out the hot spring because everyone was tired.
DAY 4
Next place to proceed to Sounkyo Gorge, situated at the foot of Mt Daisetu-zan. The mountain is accented by dramatic columnar cliffs that are lined with waterfall such as shooting star falls. Shooting stars I didnt get to see it. But stars in my eyes I saw it.
DAY 5
Ainu Village was quite interesting, It has the history of their culture. There are bears being feed there and some dogs also. But main show was the culture dancing. One of the woman performed by using a stick and can create music. Inside the room, they have smoked salmon fish also. We almost kena smoked too. The scenery there was great, so soothing and nice.
Next move to Noboribetsu , where we view the Hell valley. There are sulphur valley there, able to see boiling ponds and steaming streams. Sulphur is good for hot spring and good for skin problem and body ache. I love it alot as I like hot spring. It is relaxing. Oh.. interesting part was that when u have your hotspring. Inside all woman are naked. At first was a little bit embarrasing as singapore dont have such acitivities but after a few soaking, we get used to it already. oh.. so shiok to soak open space hot spring. water so hot but outside temperature so cold around 5-10 degrees.
DAY 6 & DAY 7
Going back to sapporo . Beer factory was cool, we get to try out their samples, the orange and apple juice was great. Sapporo beer classic was nice. Get to see the production process, however they were not working on that day. The production area was so clean that maybe it is impossible to find dirt. Quite shiok walking around outside the beer factory as cooling weather, which singapore will never have such weather.
Nijo Fresh seafood market we stayed there for around 45mins. Boring place as we didnt buy any seafood. But lili's sis bought two melon back. One cost around 3,000 Yen which is cost around S$39. S$39 for a melon i dont buy it. But lili said it was very sweet. Susukino Ramen Alley have a lot of ramen restaraunt shops which sell different kind of things, just like orchard road. But they dont have high rise building, all are one storey shops. We went to one of the ramen shop recommended by the tour leader. it was good, but a little bit salty. The dumpling was small but very nice and sweet, yummy. When i think about it my saliva dripping down from my mouth.. I will sip it back. Stayed overnite at Susukino area, it is well know as japan's largest entertainment district. There we saw pachinko parlous, it is quite interesting, our tour leader love to play it alot. But when we went to see it, we dont know what they are doing but only see alot of metal small balls. Our tour leader told us that they have activities like the guy pay an amount of money and then they peep inside a small hole to see the girl strip and the girl will strip slowly to excite him. Siao one, sometimes japanese entertainment are just too much for us.
Sakura, that was the last day that we manage to see it. We were so happy about it and worried for the past 4 days that we will go back empty handed as japan is famous for sakura viewing. Even only a few trees have it but still we were very satisfied.
Overall, quite tiring, but had a great trip. Most of the food I want to try in japan i have tried and I have always dream of going japan. This is my dream come true.
So now have to think of my next trip. Good luck to me...
