Ever heard of this Prefere ice cream? It is yogurt ice cream. There are blue berry, cherry, green tea, chocolate with vanilla, grape. (Suddenly I realised that I have a good memory in flavour). Every time i go there around 7pm, melon ice cream will be sold out. Went there 3 times, 3 times sold out. Next time have to go there earlier. Yesterday I tried blue berry. It is ok. I still like the hokkaido ice cream. And this one cone is S$3.50. Not cheap either. But can try and not that fattening.

My third golf lesson yesterdy night. It was so warm when we were there swinging the club. Yesterday we learn 3/4 swing. Oh.. first 1 hr, it is so suffering, we are struggling to get the swing right. Two weeks never train and i totally forgot about everything. Luckily have instructor there to correct us. He keeps on asking me to swing my arm from left to right. He adjust my arm to swing left and right, but I am so stiff. He jokingly said that I must have put a board at the back of my back. After some time, he told us to relax and stand on our feet together and do the swing. Wow we realised that we swing better and the swing is from the arm swing, lower hip there have to twist a bit. After a few try, I felt more and more comfortable and I manage to hit a 75 metre ball. Yeah, satisfaction. But still alot of practise needs to be done. I hit 100 balls yesterday forgot to bring my glove which I have bought. Fingers were painful also but today is ok already as should not hold the club too tight, should relax.

I was actually feeling quite bored after two weeks without the training, but after getting the hang of it again. I enjoy it. Next week stop again as Justin need to travel go overseas. I need to go and check out the golf shoe. Budget around S$70. If got anyone know cheap shoe and good tell me.

There are different variety of durian. Peanut, red prawn, Mao Shan Wang, Golden Phoenix, D21. I only know D21.

Golden Phoenix, fruity aftertaset not unlinek bananas. Origin: Segamat. S$8-S$16/kg. Peak season: June -July

Bad Singlish

Most of the time, we speak singlish. It is a habit that we learn from young. If you ask me to speak proper english, it is a problem for me. I must have that lah , lor, hor all this singlish. Sometimes I just wonder do we acutally know the meaning of these words?

My most common use is Na beh or Fxck or Shit.

What is the true meaning of each word for all these singlish bad words:

Carry balls (That is what we always do in the office, we even think of making a throphy with three finger carry balls (genitalia) to give it to my boss! and we are good at it especially the three of us shining sisters.

LPPL - Lan pa pa Lan, hokkien acronym. LPPL , now it is like me, my two girls are on medical leave so I have to do all the work by myself, So I LPPL, LP is balls , PL is the same word read backwards , the balls hitting against each other. Too bad I dont have LP.

Na Beh- Local slang adapted from a hokkein phrase about someone's else's mother, it is vulgar. Used as an utterance in anger.

Sell backside - Broken english for prostituting oneself. I always say if no money need to go and sell backside. But I thought only guys sell backside. Girls can sell "both". But joking only, I wont do such thing.

Talk Cock - Office, alot of people talk cock, especially the boss. Talk talk talk, take the credit. Let the staff die. It actually means talking rubbish. A person who talk so much crap, he might as well be talking to his own genitalia.

KNS - Classic slang that combines Malay (kena, or get) and Hokkein (sai, or shit). Used to describe the laugable, irredeemable failure of someone or something.

Chee Hong - Hokkein slang for a guy who's so crazy about chasing skirts that he would turn his back on his friend. Sigh I think a lot of guys are like that.

Fish do not close their eyelids; Do they sleep?

Fish dont have eyelid, if not they will have eye lashes, then they can put on mascara!! Do fish sleep? Yeah they do.

Lucky I have eyelid, if not it is tiring to always open my eyes.

Anchovies, normally we eat when we order nasi lemak. So called Ikan Bilis. I didnt know that anchovies are highly nutricious. Sigh I no money to make that. So just change glasses lor. What to do. Then took Bus 100 back to Vivo as we dont dare to take other buses if not maybe will drive us to johore bahru.

Had this Musselicious, we had seafood baked rice and seafood spaghetti set. Service there very slow. Food also so so. Walk whole day, leg so painful already. When me and liying go shopping, we normally wont go home until the shop closed. But now we dont stay same as north area anymore, so we decide to go back after finished dinner, that is around 9 plus also.

I saw this lychee martini cake from magazine. I first saw this and I want to order this for my birthday treat to my colleauge. Finally today is the day. My actual birthday is tomorrow but tomorrow I on half day shopping with sally. S$45 for a 1.3kg cake, they told me that it is quite expensive. But it is good. Everybody likes it, never eat lychee cake with martini before. This cake is drenched in grown-up vodka and lychee liqueur then layered with fresh cream, roasted almonds, and jelly studded with whole lychees.

My lili shining sister mc went home. No luck to eat the cake. My other shining sister lua said the cake is too soft, but cake are suppose to be soft. And it is good for him, he is old already better dont bite hard things.

I would recommend this cake to those who like to try new flavour of non traditional cake. Gooda.

NDP (National Day Parade) coming soon, next month 9th Aug. I am very excited as I got to go to the actual day parade. Thanks to my future brother in law. Heng heng har, he got the ticket and I can go. I am excited because this is the first year it is going to be at Marina Bay. They just built it. Today I saw Singapore flags are being put up. So every household have to put one also. If not will get warning then fined if kena spot check. When I was still schooling, I was a prefect so I get to go to NDP every year. I enjoy it alot. After so many years never get a chance to go there. So I am really very excited about this year NDP. Looking forward to it.

Abacus yam ball, tried before? In mandarin it is named as "Suan Pan Zi".My colleauge's husband made some for us. It is delicious, her husband made it so nice. It is made of yam, some mushroom,ham,black fungus, dried shrimp and bean curd cubes, hakka cuisine. Traditionally, this dish is eaten only on the first day of Chinese New Year to symbolize family unity and pr0sperity. But now we get to eat it when we want to. As some hawker centre do sell Yam Abacus .

Last week , went to Raffles place there to eat dinner. While I was having my Subway Sandwich, I saw two dress well obasan came over to the table in front of me. Coach bag, well dress. Guess what they do, they used the tissue paper to "Chop" (Booked) the seat. Very typical Singaporean way of booking a place. I saw from TV that they show people doing that when they wanna buy food for themself and they wanna book the seat, now I see in real life. There are so many seats, why need to put one packet of tissue there to "chop" the seat? Ugly sight of Singaporean. Disgusted by them.

Just saw this Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix last nite with Lua, Siew lian,qiqi, Joyce and min min. Citibank gave Siew lian free ticket and nice of Siew lian to ask me. Kam sia very much. Still got free food and she sent me home. Ah lua I dont know maybe half way just dump him near the dustbin chute. Today still saw him, so he should be fine. Show is suppose to start at 7.30pm but wait until 8.10pm then start, just sit there doing nothing and watch commercial for more then half hour. Very boring, waste time. Finished at around 10:10pm. Passed my beauty sleep time. My english not good so have to rely on chinese subtitle. Some portion of the movie was quite slow, felt tired after a while seeing it. I am not a harry porter fans, so just treat it as another entertainment movie. Overall the show is still OK. Out of 10, gave 7.

Why do mosquito bites itch?

When the mosquito stabs her needle-like mouthparts through the skin of her victim, she injects her saliva (yucks mosquito saliva! how come I didnt feel wet wet?) teeming with digestive enzymes and anticoagulants. The first time a person is bitten, there is no reaction. With subsequent bites, the person becomes sensitized to the foreign proteins, and small, itchy,red bump appear about 24 hours later. Wow, so I was biten 24 hours later then I feel the itch!

After many more bites, a pale, swollen hive, or wheal, begins to appear within minutes after a bite -- followed by the red bump 24 hours later.

So how to avoid being bitten?

• Mosquitoes are attracted to things that remind them of nectar or mammal flesh. When outdoors, wear light clothing that covers most of the body, keeping as much skin and hair covered as practical. Avoid bright, floral colors. Khaki, beige, and olive have no particular attraction for mosquitoes.
• They are also attracted by some body odors, and for this reason they choose some individuals over others in a crowd. Avoid fragrances in soaps, shampoos, and lotions. (Then no need to bath already just smell like rubbish chute)
• Avoid playing outdoors during the peak biting times in your area.
• Try to stay away from still water.

Even when at home I could be bitten anytime without my knowledge. I think I will go back to Venus if I have too many mosquito bites.

Why Yawn?

Why do we yawn? We are tired so we yawn?

The average duration of a yawn is about 6 seconds.

When we are bored or tired, we just don't breathe as deeply as we usually do. As this theory goes, our bodies take in less oxygen because our breathing has slowed. Therefore, yawning helps us bring more oxygen into the blood and move more carbon dioxide out of the blood.

Dr. Provine suggest that perhaps yawning is like stretching. Yawning and Stretching increase blood pressure and heart rate and also flex muscles and joins. Evidence show that if you try to stifle or prevent a yawn by clenching your jaws shut, the yawn is somewhat "unsatisfying". The stretching of jaw and face muscles is necessary for a good yawn.

I agreed with this as when i saw this article and see the image of yawning, I just cant stop yawning. And normally I dont yawn so many times in a day.

Yawning is possible to be contagious because of a leftover response (a "vestigal" response) that is not used anymore. But I felt it is contagious as when I saw someone yawn. I will yawn.

Golf 2nd lesson

First boo boo that I made yesterday,I forget to put the bucket when the balls fall out from the machine. Then I reaslied it and quickly put the bucket. A few balls fall onto the floor and roll off. Lucky one of the instructor there helped me to pick it up. I didnt even notice who he was, just say thank you.

Learn how to do half swing, wow lau so difficult, posture, holding the club, where the iron 7 and where it should face to. So many things to remember, lucky I still manage to hit some nice shot, but still a few shot hit to the ground. Must remember when swinging to the right, left shoulder should be under the chin, when swing back to the left, right shoulder should be under the chin. Must remember to bent alittle bit of my knee. Arm must be straight when swinging the Iron No.7. Need to buy a glove also , if not my hand will be very rough. So much thing to buy, shoe also must buy. My hand now painful, after the old injury from volleyball on my left arm, now hand also painful. Siew Lian just bought a club for SGD700 plus, sigh need to go and sell my ass already. So exp, and maybe I seldom play also. Need alot of practise then break my back.

I wonder how I do the full swing, see people do very easy, when I do it, like gonna kill me.

Yeah sunday ate noodle again. Took my new glasses, nowadays see things blur blur.
