Want to feel like in love again? Eat chocolate. There are about 5 to 10 milligrams of caffeine in one ounce of bittersweet chocolate, 5 milligrams in milk chocolate, and 10 milligrams in a six-ounce cup of cocoa; by contrast, there are 100 to 150 milligrams of caffeine in an eight-ounce cup of brewed coffee. You would have to eat more than a dozen chocolate bars, for example, to get the amount of caffeine in one cup of coffee. Wow , that is why when I drink coffee I cannot sleep!Chocolate has long been heralded for its value as an energy source. Think of it this way: a single chocolate chip provides sufficient food energy for an adult to walk 150 feet; hence, it would take about 35 chocolate chips to go a mile, or 875,000 for an around-the-world hike. While solid chocolate certainly is high in fat, just over half the calories in bittersweet, semisweet, and milk chocolate come from fat. And even though the cocoa butter in chocolate is mostly saturated fat, studies have shown that it doesn't appear to raise blood cholesterol.Chocolate can be lethal to dogs. Theobromine, an ingredient that stimulates the cardiac muscle and the central nervous system, causes chocolate's toxicity. About two ounces of milk chocolate can be poisonous for a 10-lb puppy. The finest plain dark chocolate couvertures contain at least 70% cocoa (solids + butter). This chocolate bar I have eaten contain 60%. For me now, I will buy dark chocolate which contain 60% or more cocoa. Good for health also if eat moderately.

Uhmm, I just love dark chocolate so much.. YUMMY.

First Golf Lesson

First lesson was interesting but stressful as need to remember the golf equipment it is still new to us. Still now I cant remember the golf equipment names. There are Driver(Wood) , Irons, Wedges and Putter. We were told to use Iron No. 7 for the training. The instructor asked me why I look so stressful, haha i am a little bit stressful and also alittle bit sleepy. After work my eyes are always so tired after looking at the monitor for the whole day.

When we look at other people hitting the ball, it seems like very easy. But when we try to hit the ball, wow so many things to take note! The arm how we swing, the grip, the posture, etc. By the time we finish posing, 3 mins already. By the time we hit the ball 5 mins already. I know that it is not easy, just need a lot of practise. The instructor point out that I always forget to bend my knee. Other friend's fault was when they swing, the arm always bent. Playing volleyball helps a little bit as volleyball need to always have a posture of straight arm when hitting the ball.

Now after first lesson, I alittle bit understand why people like to play golf. It is the satisfaction when you hit a good ball. And it is you yourself that you are challenging. I think maybe I will like this sport also. Gambatte. Lynn Chiong

Change here change there, finally tonite is my first golf lesson. My friend actually told me he wanted to join, but last nite he told me he cannot. Why people are like that promise already, then just say not free again. It is not last min that I told him, it is 3 weeks ago. I just dont understand why people are like that.

Wow, this roller coast ride is awesome. I would like to try it some day. And this is my dream roller coast.

Top Thrill Dragster is a steel, hydraulically-launched roller coaster located at Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky, Ohio. It was the first "Strata Coaster," a complete circuit coaster that is 400 to 499 feet tall. It was built by Intamin AG and debuted to the public on May 4th, 2003. It is one of only 2 strata coasters in existence, the other being Kingda Ka (2005) at Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey.

Top Thrill Dragster, wait for me, I will come and ride you when I am free.

Warren Buffet, the second richest man who has donated $31 billion to charity.

His advice to young people:

"Stay away from credit cards and invest in yourself and Remember:

A. Money doesn't create man but it is the man who created money.

B. Live your life as simple as you are.

C. Don't do what others say, just listen them, but do what you feel good.

D. Don't go on brand name; just wear those things in which u feel comfortable.

E. Don't waste your money on unnecessary things; just spend on them who really in need rather.

F. After all it's your life then why give chance to others to rule our life."

For staying away from credit cards, I agreed, but still I try not to use it unless like buying air tickets online. My life is quite simple that is good also. But dont go on brand name, hmm still sometimes I am brand conscious. Whatever I need I have it. So conclusion, as long as not getting yourself into debts. It should be good life. But if donate that 1 of a million dollar to me, I will have a even better life.

I like ramen more and more nowadays after I been to Hokkaido. Like hokkaido ice cream also. But they dont have lavendar ice cream here. But hokkaido is famous for Lavender products. Last Sat, went with my Shining Sister gang and a duplicate of Lili's (that is her big sis). Went to Marutama Ra-men at The Central. We wanted to try the ebi ramen(S$15) but finished already. So no choice tried Marutama ramen (S$12). It was so good. Very very the gooda. We tried the Braised Pork Belly, Kakuni (S$7), ai yoh very small piece only. We also add one egg (S$1). The egg have a melty orange yolk within.

We have decided that next time we will go there at 11.30am to try the ebi Ramen as we went there around 1PM finished. Oh.. the more I think about it , my saliva gonna drip out of my mouth. Slurp..... Will go back again and again.

C'est la vie

"C'est la vie" pronounced Say-LA-Vee. What does it mean? It means "That's Life".

That's Life, what is "that's life". Life, what is life? What do we want in our Life? Do we get what we want in our life? We want family, friends, good job, good pay, good life, good love life. We expect alot of things in our life. If we dont get it, we blame our "Life", our Fate.

Sigh, WTF and WTH.

Singapore falls into 14th place. I didnt realised that Singapore is so expensive to stay here. I only felt that housing prices are always increasing, medical very damn expensive. Food and clothings and other necessarities still reasonable price. Transportation are still reasonable compare to other countries , maybe because we are small. In a way, I dont wish we fall into Top 10, if not life will be even harder for us.

I like this versus Moisturing Massage mousse so much. When apply it gives a very nice smell. In fact, it consist of a fragrance with the green and aromatic accents, green sheets of kava-kava, watery fruits, lawyer, flower of apple tree, freesia, amber and wood of cedar. I got this for free last year for buying facial products. But now I can't find it in other place. If happen to see it in Singapore or other countries, please tell me.

Does Animal dream?

Yes, animals dream. Researchers Dr. Matthew Wilson and Kenway Louie at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology selected four lucky rats. They implanted micro-electrodes into the hippocampus, the region of the brain associated with memory. Then they monitored the firing patterns of the neurons hooked up to micro-electrodes.The patterns were the same whether the rat was dreaming about running around on a track or actually running around on a track. In fact, by just looking at the patterns, the scientists could tell whether the creature was dreaming about running or just sitting around. So why do animals dream? Probably to re-live and learn from experience.
Hmm animal dream. From the research it seems like they are dreaming survival technique.

Oh.. yummy, Sat I had Nan-Katsu Ramen again. Sunday went to CitiSpa for the free facial. Dont like the service there. This so called free facial, just give me a cleansing and then give me a mask. I never had free facial that is so freely done. Dont make me feel like a guest. I wont go there again.
I wanted to try different ramen so I tried this Tom Toro Ramen with side dish which is fried white fish. It is just thin slice piece of meat that are fried , looks like bacon. White fish was fried also with some flour. Still I like Nan-Katsu most. Give it a try. You will love it.

Cops Calling

Even cops dial 911?

Does Queen bee sting? I dont know the answer so I have checked it out.
Honeybees are broken up into three groups: the Queen, worker bees, and the drones. The Queen is the head of the colony and can live up to 4 years. The worker bees are sterile females (they can't have babies) that work to feed the others. The worker bees only live 42-56 days and work themselves to death. The drones are fertile males that mate with the Queen. They only live about 50 days. The male bees do not sting, only the females and the Queen bee sting.
A bee will sting for two reasons: to protect its colony and when its frightened. That is why people get stung when they step or sit on bees. The bee who stung will die because the bees organs are torn out in the stinging process. However, a bee can sting other insects and not die because the skin on insects is not as thick as mammals.

Next Thursday, hope no changes and can start my first golf lesson. 10 lesson and one green for around S$300. Some people may think, oh.. golf it is expensive game. Yeah I agree. Some said oh learn golf, so want to be more high class? For me, not for high class. It is out of curiosity, I just wonder why people like to play golf so much? What is so fun about this sport? Walk around under the sun and carry the sticks around. Hitting just a small ball.. into the hole. So, I wanna find out. That is why I want to know how it feels when I play golf. Hope that I wont broke my back when I swing. I think it is a hard to have the correct posture also. A few things to note that I read from article was Grip, Posture and Swing.

  • Grip There are two kinds of grip- 1) The overlapping Grip - The little finger is positioned between the index and middle finger of the left hand. 2) The Interlocking Grip - The little finger interlocks with the index finger of the left hand to ensure a secure position.
  • Posture Check posture to by placing a club behind your back with the shaft touching your bottom and the tole of the club touching the back of your head From this position , bend forward from the hips keeping your legs straight. It is important to keep the legs straight, otherwise the hips and back will be in the wrong position. Lastly, let the arms hang down freely from the shoulders and bend your knees very slightly. The club can now be held. Make sure the club head rests on the ground.
  • Swing Turn your shoulder to the right, extending the leaft arm to the said. The arm and the club shaft should be in straight line. Continue to turn shoulders and let the club swing up over the right shoulder. On the down swing, swing the body to the left, allowing the arms to extend towards the target (where you want to hit to ) Transfer your body weight to the left. In the finish position, your entire body weight is nearly on the left foot. A good swing has poise and balance at the finish so can wwatch the shot to the target.

By the time I finish knowing all these, I am so stressed out already. Joining the club also need attire. Collar shirt, a cap (for cover of afternoon sun, but I will learn at nite so no sun), cover shoe and short pant or skirt. I wont be buying any golf clubs as I will borrow from my colleauge. Good luck to me. Pray hard I wont break my back..

13 June 2007

Have you seen a person riding a bike wearing a helmet and also wear a cap? Today I saw it for the first time. Looks cool. Just imagine...

Have a break, Have a cup of coffee

Friday, sometimes I drink coffee or tea. Why cannot drink during weekday? I cant get to sleep and felt so restless. I thought something is wrong with me. Why am I feeling like my heartbeat is beating faster? We were joking, if I gonna die soon, if I drink coffee then I can survive for one more day? Gooda. Do you think that coffee can save life? Maybe one day scientists say "Yeah, drink coffee, life can be saved!" Read from an article that stated facts about coffee:

  • It can help fight pain (Maybe pain in the ass?). Sorry it is not. It helps to clear up a mild headache.
  • It may protect against liver disease . 3 cups of coffee daily may reduce death rates from cirrhoisis of the liver
  • It boosts mental fuction and alertness.
  • It can boost physical performance. It trigger the muscles to burn fat rather then carbohydrates for energy. Other studies also appear to show that it can delay fatigue.
  • It protects against type II diabetes. Taking decaffeinated coffee was linked to a slight higher risk of developing diabetes.

Side efffect of caffeine :

Temporary symptoms like nausea, termors, mood swings, restlessness, vertigo, headaches, sleep interruption and increased blood pressure. In high doses, it may lead to hyperventilation, panic attacks, migranes, vomiting, abdominal cramps and diarrhoea.

Long term may caused constipation. It irritates the gut and may contribute to prementrual bloating. For some people, caffeine can produce a sedative effect- the more coffee or tea you drink the sleeper you get.

I dont understand, it can help in a way and it can screw up in a way. So depends on your body. My body is the side effect type. Why like that?

11 June 2007

Yeah!! Won a free facial again. This time is Citispa. Joined HER WORLD Magazine Citispa and won it. Normally they will ask you to sign package after you have tried their free service, I wont sign the package unless they give me really good package.

Hmm my sis hair accessories. Orchid on her head. Very big orchid. Head grow flowers already. Roses will be sexy too. If have sakura, put on the head also nice. Then put some leaves oh man. Can do a gardening session.

Sometimes, life is so unfair for some people. Sometimes it is fair for some people. We cannot have all people happy. For me, I am not happy with some of the decisions made or being made by others. But still I cant do anything about it. Life is beyond my control. But I always tell myself, as long as I am healthy, my family members are healthy, we should not be too greedy about other things. Living one day being sad, still live one day. Living one day being happy, still live for another day. So why not choose to be living happy instead? Said is easier then done, no matter what we should still try to be happy. So smile....

Today went to Hougang point to eat lunch.
Bought this muffin, chocolate muffin. Hmm It looks good but maybe because of my photography skill it looks horrible. But still it is tasty. It is only $1.20 each. Worth value for money.
I ate this three cup chicken. You can select with rice or with noodle. I had noodle. It was ok. Chicken was tender though. 三杯雞 (san bei ji) The three cups refer to one each of sesame oil, rice wine and soy sauce. It is one of the taiwanese dish. However when I was in Taipei, I didnt eat this. But still worth a try.

Have you heard of Horse oil before? Oil extracted and refined from high quality horse fat is further purified by removing odor and color. Vegetable extract, fermented vegetable extract and lavender oil are then added. The fatty acid composition of horse oil is similar to that of human sebum. Sebum had skin barried systems that can protect your skin from bacteria, harmful substances. For dry skin user. I have purchased one bottle of horse oil from Japan. My mum love it. Still I cant really understand how they queeze out the oil. I just wonder... HMMM....
